Wick First Creative Workspace – London, UK
2022 – Planning
Delvendahl Martin Architects are currently working in collaboration with Hawkins\Brown and Studio Weave on the Hackney Wick Central Masterplan. Hackney Wick has traditionally been a thriving and well-populated industrial zone, and more recently, small creative businesses have been instrumental in creating a vibrant and distinct neighbourhood. To this end, providing affordable workspaces will play a key part in keeping the distinct character of the area. The development falls within Hackney Wick and Fish Island. It focuses on protecting and enhancing the spaces available for communities of creators, including artists, makers, designers and performers working across the cultural, creative, digital and tech industries. Delvendahl Martin Architects are creating a series of flexible and affordable workspaces for artists, makers and creatives, alongside housing, retail and community hub.
