Stratford Circus Arts Centre – London, UK

Originally commissioned in February 2011 as a feasibility study for the public areas, the project included an assessment of the venue after 10 years of operation and a remodelling proposal in the context of the redevelopment of the Stratford Cultural Quarter, and its strategic location in relation to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Through a series of workshops with stakeholders and user groups, the team developed a brief identifying the needs of this energetic community focused arts centre. The proposals developed are considered an important step in enabling the venue to continue operating successfully and remain financially viable for the coming years. The first phase of improvements to the public areas including a reconfigured entrance and cafe area, was completed in the Winter of 2016 after successfully securing funding from Arts Council and Newham Council.
